I studied Electrical Engineering at the University of Pretoria.  

My formal qualifications are B.Eng (Electrical), B.Eng (Hons)(Electrical).  

I also hold a CEM™ (Certified Energy Manager).

As a business owner/entrepreneur I have 26 years’ experience building, running - and eventually selling two business to a JSE listed company.  

After selling the two companies, I spent 5 years working (in the corporate environment) for the listed company.  

As a result, I provide a broad range of business consulting services.  These services range from the typical advice required by startup enterprises through to strategic consulting in a corporate environment.

As co-founder and managing director of multiple companies, my skillset is very broad. Some of my core skills include:

• Knowing how to manage, run and grow a business.
• Practical financial management (ranging from the requirements of a small start-up to that of a much larger entity).
• Knowing how to develop and use systems to manage people/staff/colleagues and partners effectively.
• Knowing how to establish, grow and maintain key customer relationships.
• Knowing how to develop and improve the marketing and sales processes of a business.
• Knowing how to engage people to make sure they not only understand but also buy into an idea.  Examples include, the ability to “sell” a different value proposition, a new strategic direction, or even an entire company.
• And of course, I have comprehensive, in-depth technical knowledge about most aspects related to energy management.

I studied a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Psychology and English at the University of Natal (Pietermaritzburg). 

I also hold a postgraduate Teaching diploma from the University of Cape Town.

As a Human Resource Practitioner, I have worked in collaborative partnering and management roles, both from a Human Resource Generalist as well as a Learning and Development perspective within various industries.

During the last fourteen years, I have worked as a Freelance Consultant; engaging in a broad range of HR interventions, using a wide range of experience gained over the last thirty years. 

The main focus has been on performance management and reward-related projects with a variety of clients, both private sector and government. 

These initiatives have involved leading key stakeholders at all levels of the organisation through relevant Human Resource processes which enable them to address critical issues experienced.

Using my broad range of experience and knowledge of Human Resources, the core skill that I offer is to identify the solution that adds organisational value and work with you in its implementation.
